Do you, or someone you know, want to join a thriving team and work for our prestige global pharmaceutical client based in Milton Keynes? They are looking for a motivated Senior Analytical Scientist to join our Quality Control department.
This on-site role is a critical role within the Quality Control function. Analytical Technician will be responsible for the testing and releasing of antigens and raw materials needed for vaccine production. This is a full-time temporary role initially signedoff for 1 year offering an hourly rate of £13.00 - £20.50 per hour depending on experience.
As an Analytical Technician you will:
- Perform analytical testing (raw materials, 100% ID; antigen/ FPU testing; packaging and water testing )
- Work alongside your team members and team lead to meet release deadlines
- Ensure timely review of all data results from tests performed, identify any invalids or atypical results.
- Be involved in the planning of assays
- Responsible for the generation of quality data
- Work on a diverse and inclusive environment
- Perform safety assessments
Technician for QC Analytical laboratory
- Carry out release testing (raw material; antigen/ FPU testing; packaging and water testing)
- Responsible for the review of batch release data and data quality
- SAP - ensure timely completion of results in SAP
- Perform safety assessments (RA, MH and COSHH) and ensure correct signage and maintaining documentation for safe operations within the lab
- Support inspections and audits readiness of lab
- Ensure Lab is always working at GMP level
**Experience and Skills**:
- Experience with analytical testing (formaldehyde, thiomersal, nitrogen testing) Advantageous if you have worked within manufacture Health company.
- Knowledge of GLM/GLP environment
- Reagent Preparation
- Experience with raw material testing
- Positive attitude and motivation to perform work independently
**Education**:
- Degree on Scientific area (chemistry or analytical) or equivalent experience
**Essential Criteria**
- Sound understanding and working knowledge of GMP Quality Systems
- Minimum of 1 years on a GMP environment
- Degree in Analytical or Chemistry Sciences
- Understand Laboratory investigations
- Proficient in use of MS Office especially Excel and Word
- Able to communicate at all levels and across all functions
- Ability to communicate concise technical information with clarity
- Flexible approach to changing priorities
- Attention to detail
- Positive mindset
- Cross functional work experience
**Desirable criteria**
- SAP knowledge
- Knowledge of Minitab Statistical software
- Experience with raw material and antigen analytical testing.
