**Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with complex needs and challenging behaviour, both in the classroom and in specialized learning environments.
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet the individual needs of students.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and techniques to support students in managing their challenging behaviour and promoting positive behaviour.
- Collaborate with other members of the school team, including teachers, therapists, and support staff, to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and record student progress, and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians on student performance and behavior.
- Participate in school activities, events, and meetings as required, and contribute to the overall development of the school community.

**Qualifications**:

- Relevant experience working with SEN students in a primary or secondary school setting, particularly those with complex needs and challenging behavior.
- Understanding of a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and emotional and behavioral difficulties.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, as well as independently, and to adapt to different learning environments and student needs.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with professionalism and empathy.
- Enhanced Child & Adult DBS on Update Service (or willing to apply).
