We have an exciting opportunity for a **Bank** **Advanced Theatre Scrub Practitioner (Surgical First Assistant) **to join our Theatre team based in **Hemel Hempstead. **ou will join us on a bank basis.

**About the role**

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Act as first assistant to the Consultant Surgeon, with autonomy in suturing. To participate and assist in operative procedures and with pre
- and post-operative care as required. To demonstrate competence level of knowledge within the specialist field and always work within predetermined areas of competence in accordance with the NMC code of conduct.
- To Practice within the limits of OSD Healthcare policies and guidelines. To be expected to maintain a high level of skill and professionalism.
- To work closely with the multidisciplinary team to achieve / maintain an outstanding, patient-focused service.

**About you**
- Registered Practitioner with NMC
- SFA Qualification
- ILS
- Current and consolidated experience as a theatre scrub practitioner ideally within the private sector
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Knowledge of current issues in professional practice
- Good knowledge of clinical governance standards and external bodies, such as the CQC, AfPP
