Classroom Support is working flat out to support a tremendous Primary School in Grays, Thurrock. We are currently searching for a bubbly, energetic SEN Teaching Assistant who has experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) such as Autism and ADHD.

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will have excellent communication skills and will be a friendly and energetic person who will do their best to support both pupils and teachers.

Your role will be varied, supporting pupils both in small groups and 1:2:1 with pupils requiring dedicated support. You ideally will have experience supporting pupils with various forms of SEN such as ASC and ADHD and be confident working with challenging pupils and have a calm, but resilient personality.

You must be confident in your behaviour management skills.

Also, for this role, there will be a pupil requiring Personal Care (i.e. toileting and changing) which you must be willing to do.

The **specifications **of the role are as follows:

- Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 3:30pm (term-time only).
- £85-95 per day.
- Weekly pay.
- To supervise and provide educational support for pupils with SEN.
- To utilise their experience in supporting challenging pupils.
- To utilise effective behaviour management techniques.
- To provide support for individual pupils inside and outside of class to help them interact with others and to engage in classroom activities.
- To provide detailed and regular feedback about the pupil(s) to their teacher.

To start in March/April 2024.

The **requirements** of the role are as follows:

- You **must** have a valid enhanced DBS certificate (registered on the update service) or be willing to pay for a new one (£52.20).
- You **ideally will **have previous experience supporting pupils with SEN.
- You **must **be willing to provide personal care for a pupil.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm

**Salary**: £85.00-£95.00 per day
