**Supervising Lawyer**Not Beyond Redemption is a charity that provides free Family Law advice and representation to mothers in prison to help re-establish and maintain contact with their children, which is so often lost when they are sentenced. The charity is looking for a dedicatedand organised Solicitor to supervise the charity's caseload. Such cases will be run day to day by solicitors volunteering their time on a pro bono basis.
**Role**:
Oversee lawyers acting pro bono and assist with their cases. This includes meeting (usually remotely) with each group to discuss action points, what the next steps are and reviewing their drafting. Whilst the pro bono lawyers have received training in FamilyLaw, they are mainly corporate lawyers and will therefore need direction and supervision.
**Key Accountabilities**:

- To oversee and supervise the pro bono lawyers’ cases to make sure they know what steps to take with each case to provide a high-level service to their service users.
- Monitor substantive legal work and provide advice to pro bono lawyers.
- Keep an organised log of the all the cases and who is working on them.
- Attend the legal clinics initially at HMP Styal.

**Person Specifications**:

- Must have a minimum of over 3 years PQE with a strong knowledge of Family Law.
- Experience leading a team.
- Highly organised.
- Excellent communication, verbal and written, skills.
- Must have a good attention to detail.
- A positive outlook with an ability to inspire confidence, provide vision and motivate people.

**Location**:
Remote working. Ideally located near Manchester as you must be willing to travel to supervise the legal clinics in prisons, initially at HMP Styal. You will also be expected to travel to their office in London on a fortnightly basis if necessary.
**Standard working hours**:
3 days a week (how you set your days are down to you, but prison legal clinics are 3 hours once a month)
