Our client is looking for a Financial Accountant reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Accountant will play a key role in the financial accounting across several European legal entities. This is a full-time role that will predominantly be basedout of their Farnborough office. The Financial Accountant will work closely with both the UK and US based finance teams to ensure timely month end reporting of the management accounts to the US based Consolidations Team. Providing assistance on company auditsto ensure successful filing of annual statutory accounts will be a key feature of this role. It will also require involvement with treasury, payroll, intercompany transactions, and tax. The Financial Accountant will be a trusted business partner for the Salesand Operations teams.
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Month-end close activities: journal entries, producing management accounts etc.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Cashflow forecasting, reviewing payment runs and authorizing payments.
- Providing information needed for the preparation of the annual statutory accounts and helping to produce financial statements.
- Supporting audit requests from the external auditors.
- VAT return preparation and filing.
- Collaborating with the FP&A team to assist with variance analysis.
- Assisting with any special projects and ad-hoc reporting requirements as and when they may arise.
**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
- You will be a qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA Accountant, preferably holding a bachelor's degree.
- Familiarity with Oracle accounting system will be advantageous.
- Detailed knowledge of VAT (UK and European) will be a plus.
- You should feel confident working in a dynamic fast paced atmosphere and calm under pressure.
- You will be an engaging individual with a can-do attitude, who is comfortable working on your own as well as part of team.
- You will be self-motivated, flexible, and able to work on own initiative.
**REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**
- Must possess the legal ability to work in the United Kingdom
- Highly numerate with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and influencing skills.
- Strong PC skills including advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to deliver to tight/moving deadlines without compromising quality.
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
