Weighbridge Operator/Administrator

Derby £10.50ph plus overtime rates

Full time - 07:30-16:00 Monday to Friday 40 hours per week (plus occasional Saturday mornings until 12.30)

Our clients site is one of the UK's leading waste and resource management companies, they minimize the amount of waste that ends up in landfill by transforming it into various different resources. They collect waste from businesses, local authorities, households and process it.

They are seeking a Weighbridge Operator to co-ordinate the safe and efficient operation of the entrance weighbridge to the site; the role comes with the responsibility of logging the volume of waste that trucks bring into the site and ensuring the equipment is maintained to the highest standards.

Job Duties:
Working in the booth next to the refuse site's weighbridge you will be responsible for:

- Logging the vehicle reg numbers in the computor system
- Entering the the vehicle weights on entry and departure.
- Supplying visitors with H&S information and sign offs.
- Reporting and recording incidents

Experience Required:

- You need to be able to understand weights at decimal points.
- Ability to data entry quickly and accurately.
- Good communication skills - You will be speaking to delivery drivers and giving directions.
- Administration experience - Ability to log info and keep records.
