Garden Room Installer/fitter

**Company description**
London Town Cabins is a manufacturer and supplier of luxury garden rooms in the UK. We currently employ 8 staff, and are based just outside Baldock.
Due to our continued expansion we are looking for high quality fitters to join our fabrication and install teams. Working in a team you will be required to contribute to the construction of our manufactured garden rooms in the workshop in Baldock, and for various clientele at their homes.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
The work is varied with early starts. Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate some/or all of the following:
- Previous experience in fitting, carpentry, joinery, or woodworking.
- Trimming and finishing.
- Second fix.
- Roof flashing.
- Window and glass fitting.
- Loading and unloading vehicles, driving to customer sites.
- Customer site preparations including marking out dimensions and design.
- Installation of base foundations.
- Drainage and trench works.
- Manual handling of materials to ensure quality and good condition.
- Follow company standard operating procedures for work practices.
- Daily travel to head office, then to customer sites.
- Maintaining the highest standards of safe workmanship and follow good working practice within Health and Safety.
- Working outdoors all year round.
- Keeping your vehicle and all tools clean and well maintained.
- The wearing PPE at all times whilst working on site and in the yard.
- Working to deadlines and managing time effectively.
- Any other task reasonably instructed by Manager
**Required skills**
- Past experience in Carpentry, Installations, General Maintenance, DIY, Construction
- Previous experience working with hand tools
- Able to lift reasonably heavy loads
- Reliable and conscientious
- Team player
- Holds a current UK driving license - full clean manual license **essential**
Although you will be mostly working with wood, you will be expected to help out in every aspect of the build such as unloading, fitting ground screws, digging holes, basic decorating, etc. As such there are lots of opportunities to learn new skills, as an average day varies greatly throughout the project.
