**Head of Finance & Investments**
Boston Hale is currently recruiting for a **Divisional Business Advisor** to join our client - a large hospital based in the West Midlands.
**Overview**:
The Divisional Business Advisor will take full responsibility for the financial controls, management and policy and provide sound management support.
**Day to day duties**:
- Be part of the Finance Directorate Senior Management team and contribute to the development of the finance function
- Produce monthly management accounts and forecasts including financial reports
- Develop financial systems for the division
- Responsible for the delivery of key financial targets and financial objectives to ensure strong financial governance
- Ensure budgets reflect operational plans and meet divisional financial targets
- Provide support to individual budget holders in analysis and maintenance of the budgets
- Monitor all divisional budgets
- Take responsibility for capital asset planning and management within the division
- Support the divisional and trust wide initiatives
- Ensure financial and control risks are managed and recorded
**Previous Experience**:
- Prior leadership experience of a finance function in a large organisation
- Strong analytical skills and experience of complex financial matters
- Prior staff management experience
**Personal Characteristics**:
- Excellent communication skills including influencing and negotiating
- Ability to challenge colleagues and senior stakeholders to set priorities
- Strong strategic planning skills
**Qualifications**:
- Professional finance qualification - ACA, ACCA, CIMA
