Draughtsperson

We are looking for a **Draughtsperson** to join our team based in **Billingham**. This is a **full-time, permanent role**,** **and in return you will receive a **competitive salary plus benefits.**

**About the Draughtsperson role**:
As our Draughtsperson, you will produce fully engineered CAD drawings from client’s drawings, sketches and bills of material. You will also produce scale drawings for static castings in liaison with the Static Foundry Methods Engineer and be responsible for gaining customer acceptance of the first samples and ensuring that all relevant manufacturing instructions are communicated to the shop floor.

During the product life cycle, you will assist in process improvements and problem solving to optimise the product quality and advise on remedial actions when discrepancies occur. This may involve direct customer contact and project management.

**Essential**
- Experience working in product manufacturing, preferably related to large castings or forgings- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software- Working knowledge of quality systems- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Can operate on own initiative but contribute to a team environment- Qualification in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering to HND level
**Desirable**
- Centrifugal casting experience- A general knowledge of metallurgy- Qualification in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering to BSc level
