Express Utilities are part of a family of companies owned by BUUK Infrastructure group and we are currently recruiting for 2 x SHEQ Officer to provide Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality advice and support to Express Utilities and other parts of the wider BUUK group as required to effectively meet all statutory and company requirements. This full time, permanent position is area based, either covering the North & Midlands or the South of the UK. You will report to our office in Harlow when necessary.
We are looking for someone with a good knowledge and understanding of all aspects of Safety, Health and Environmental requirements and related Legislation within the workplace. While it is not essential that you have had previous experience within this sector before, a NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is desirable. Training on our systems and the company will be provided.

Responsibilities will include
- Managing and implementing risk reduction initiatives
- Working with managers and all employees to maintain a SHEQ system that promotes a culture of safe working practices
- Ensure Express Utilities are compliant with current health, safety and environmental legislation, approved codes of practice and industry guidance
- Support construction operations in implementing the SHE policies and procedures
- Provide coaching and development to effectively influence, promote the importance of and continually improve Express Utilities safety culture through Work Safe ¦ Home Safe and overall, SHE performance across the business and wider BUUK group
- Support the development of, and review Express Utilities specific policies and procedures
- Undertake team site visits to operational teams
