Consultant Neonatologist

Applicants must be on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of achieving a CCT (or equivalent) at the date of interview with the appropriate training and experience in tertiary neonatal medicine.

The Neonatal Unit at The Royal Oldham Hospital is one of Greater Manchester’s 3 Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) and provides the full spectrum of medical neonatal care. The state of the art unit is housed in the new purpose built Women and Children’s Building and has 9 Intensive Care Cots, 9 High Dependency Cots and 19 Special Care Cots. The Unit is led by a dedicated team of experienced Neonatologists.

The post holder will join a team of senior medical and nursing staff committed to providing a high quality intensive care service to sick preterm and term neonates within the Greater Manchester Neonatal Network.

The aim is to develop the department in all aspects of clinical service and in teaching and research.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of this service. The post is accountable to the Clinical Director of Neonatology.
