We are looking for a dynamic, hardworking and experienced housekeeper to maintain high levels of cleanliness within the newly developed visitor facilities, known as The Rising at Raby Castle. Housekeeping duties are required 7 days per week, therefore this role may be met with a combination of full or part time working.

**What youll be doing**

A Housekeeping position at Raby Castle is one of the most diverse roles there is to offer. As well as providing a unique opportunity to work in extraordinary locations across this beautiful country estate, this role offers a fast paced, varied role for someone bursting with energy, who is passionate about providing exemplary service.

As a Housekeeper you will ensure that all facilities within the visitor attraction are presented to the highest standard. You will be responsible for day-to-day cleaning and will contribute to the care of both new and historic buildings. You will also help monitor environmental conditions and report any maintenance issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor or General Manager.

**What we need to see**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Comprehensive cleaning (washing floors, emptying bins, vacuuming, cleaning public toilets, dusting etc.) ensuring the service meets high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Cleaning of staff facilities such as offices, break rooms and toilets.
- Perform and document any routine inspection activities.
- Work in a responsible and safe manner at all times, adhering to Health & Safety policies, safe working practices and Company Policies and Procedures (e.g. COSHH, manual handling etc.).
- Represent Raby appropriately at all times by being smart in appearance and behaving in an appropriate manner in line with our estate values.

**Skills Required**:

- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm to learn and undertake continuing professional development.
- Great team player.
- Discretion and ability to handle confidential information.

**Knowledge and Experience**:

- Proven working experience as a Housekeeper.
- Ability to handle heavy cleaning equipment and machinery.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets.
