**Corporate Buyer - £500 a day - Inside IR35 - Remote working - UK based - 6 months contract (extensions highly likely) - Sector Green Technology - One stage virtual interview**

Yolk Recruitment are hiring for a Corporate Buyer to work in a exciting procurement function with a global leader in Green Technology and innovation.

This is exciting opportunity to work directly with the Corporate procurement lead to create robust supply chains that ll help foster dynamic changes in our green energy sector

**Responsibilities**
- Work in accordance with the Group Procurement Operating Model, Group Policies and Standards, the Plant procurement activities from category strategy development to contract, implementation and supplier management.
- Works to identify, develop and implement improved supply-side initiatives to deliver sustainable value, appropriate quality and service, and a secure, safe, cost effective and ethical supply base
- Manages supplier relationships for the areas actively supporting. and builds a comprehensive understanding of extended supply chains (ideally back to source and applicable waste streams), and general industry market intelligence.
- Takes ownership of specific tasks/projects as directed by Corporate Procurement Lead and Group Chief Procurement Officer

**Skills**
- Recent experience with SAP
- Procurement Operations
- Contract Development
- Personal Organisation and Project Planning
- Must be prepared to transact within SAP for PR review and approval
- Have operational experience in addition to traditional Buyer (RFPs - informal and formal)
- Must be comfortable working in an environment of low procurement maturity, with stakeholders who we are still working with to demonstrate where procurement can and will bring value
- Must be comfortable with limited templates and limited visibility of any form of Category strategy
- Experienced drive for savings results
- Able to deal with several items in parallel. This is not a project role where the person will have a single large RFP to progress, it will require deaqling with a number of activities in parallel, therefore ability to manage self and others is key
