Indirect Buyer

Our client is looking to appoint a Buyer to join their busy Procurement Team who will be responsible for purchasing all in-direct spend.

The Buyer will be responsible for purchasing all indirect materials and services including Plant Hire, Uniforms & Clothing, stationery, FM Services and Vehicles from new and existing suppliers. They will source and vet new suppliers.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

- Negotiate pricing for all procurement requirements
- Ensure purchase orders for allocated products are processed in a timely manner
- Ensure that price and delivery objectives are negotiated
- Manage Supplier Performance and meet regularly with Suppliers to ensure reviews are carried out
- Maintain and build business relationships with suppliers
- Work closely with Stakeholders to understand and support with all of their requirements

Experience and knowledge for the role:

- You will be an experienced Buyer who has experience of in-direct spend
- Strong negotiation and commercial skills
- Experience in Supplier Management and carrying out reviews to build partnerships and improve performance
- Excellent communication and relationships skills
- Understands the importance of delivering a first-class procurement service
- Team player who will provide support
