We’re looking for a Senior Data Manager to join the team. You will be working as part of the Enterprise Data Team (responsible for enterprise data management, data governance and master data management across the Trust) and will be responsible for the managementof one Data Manager. Your primary responsibility will be managing the replacement of the Trust’s existing data warehouse with a new, SNOWFLAKE-based data warehouse.

This role is offered as a 7-month secondment opportunity.

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree hybrid working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust. The role will involve travel to our head office to meetwith stakeholders and to carry out work.

What you'll be doing The National Trust's data warehouse (TDW) is being replaced by an Enterprise Data Platform (EDP), based upon SNOWFLAKE data warehouse software. The project is due to go live later this year. As product owner, you will be responsible to the business for ensuringthat the business needs for the EDP are met. You will work closely with the project sponsor, the IT department, and other stakeholders to ensure that implementation of the EDP runs smoothly.

You’ll use your expertise in data management and have proven experience of improving data quality in large, matrixed organisations.We’re a business team, not IT.So, you’ll use your experience of partnering with IT data engineering teams to deliver thedata needs of your stakeholders.You’ll manage data for business intelligence and customer journey management needs and be confident liaising with stakeholders in these areas.

- Confidence in making decisions, analysing the facts and prioritising effectively
- Ability to gather requirements from users and translate these into technical deliverables
- Ability to write and understand complex SQL scripts
- Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to talk to a variety of stakeholders and adapt to different communication styles
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail
- Experience of working with Data Warehouses, systems and databases, particularly Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
- Experience of working in an agile environment
- Knowledge of managing personal information within data regulations (e.g. GDPR)
- Experience of working with IT/Developers
