**Health, Safety & Enviroment Advisor, based in Bolton, UK.**

**Overview**

The Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor is responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of the company’s HSE programs and initiatives. The role involves working closely with various departments to ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, and to promote a safe and healthy working environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation, regulations, and standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and job safety analyses, identifying potential hazards and recommending mitigative measures.
- Participate in incident investigations, determining root causes and recommending corrective and preventive actions.
- Deliver HSE induction and training programs to employees and contractors.
- Conduct regular HSE audits and inspections, ensuring adherence to established procedures and identifying areas for improvement.
- Prepare and submit regular HSE performance reports to the HSE Manager.
- Participate in the development and implementation of emergency response plans.
- Engage with employees, contractors, and other stakeholders to promote a positive HSE culture within the organisation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the HSE department.

**Skills**:

- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry
- Relevant health and safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly desirable.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation and best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team
