Apex Scotland is the leading employment and training organisation specialising in work with people with convictions.

Apex Scotland offers a diverse range of services for young people and adults to help them break down barriers to employment and engage in education, employment or community activities.

We are looking to recruit a Lead Practitioner in partnership with Aberdeenshire Council to deliver a service supporting 20 individuals per contract year. Individuals will have convictions of a complex nature, primarily convictions of a sexual nature, who have been assessed as ready to look for and engage in work, to access work experience opportunities and progression into employment or volunteering.

You should have experience of working with hard to reach groups and have the ability to work in partnership with other agencies. In addition, you should have creativity with skill matching participants and have an understanding of the employability pipeline. The post may require some evening or weekend working.

In view of the nature of this post and the requirement to work with vulnerable adults, this post holders will be required to join the relevant PVG scheme.
