Deli Supervisor

A new member is needed to join our busy and expanding fine food hall and delicatessen department. To provide a fast, friendly, and efficient level of customer service. Prepare and assist with food preparation when required. Set up and replenish counters and merchandising of the Deli. Ensuring the regular and systematic cleaning and maintenance of the equipment in all areas of the deli both front of house and in the kitchen. Must be a self-motivated individual and posses the desire for self-development. Can work autonomously when required. A courteous and efficient approach to handling customer requests, questions and complaints. Experience in working in a food environment.
- 40 hours per week on a two week rota, working every other weekend and one set day off during the week
- Have experience with retail management, doing orders online and by telephone, overseeing deliveries, shortages and breakages, alongside price changes
- Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed.
- Basic maths skills required for completing tasks when ordering and pricing products.
- Have the ability for manual handling and stand for extended periods of time.
- Operate equipment such as meat slicers and scales.
- Maintain a clean environment by ensuring meat slicers are cleaned after each use and to use a clean as you go approach.
- Open and close the deli, schedule work hour coverage, manage and monitor deli cleanliness code, customer service.
- Responsibility of keeping daily food records and paper work up to date, checking weekly for items approaching their end of shelf life.
