A Finance Director is required for a technology-focused start-up that recently announced a £7M Series A fundraise. Founded in 2016, the company operates in the biotech space helping scientific organisations solve today’s most difficult biomedical challengesby curating truths from existing knowledge, enabling smarter and faster research & development through its unique Artificial Intelligence platform.

The Finance Director will work closely with the CEO and board, providing strategic support on the company’s continued expansion, driving future fundraising rounds and advising on all corporate strategic finance matters.

Key Responsibilities:
Your role will play a crucial part as a business advisor in a range of commercial activities:

- Providing future direction on the equity and debt structure
- Represent finance and directly engage with investors and external advisors
- Develop and maintain a medium to long-term operational model that reflects the company’s future growth as well as the resources required
- Provide strategic insights for the CEO and directors, challenging conventional wisdom where appropriate
- Assist the CEO with fundraising activities and facilitate the fundraising process
- Oversee, manage and develop the finance function across international territories
- Be a sounding board and senior advisor with oversight of commercial and legal agreements

Key Skills:
You will be a qualified accountant with experience leading a finance function in a high-growth VC or PE-backed business. A SaaS or Enterprise sector background and international accounting experience are also important.
