Are you passionate about print production and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment? We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Print and Production Operative to join our team. As a Print and Production Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our printing and production processes.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Proven experience as a print and production operative or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of printing processes, equipment, and materials.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing issues.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Run and operate the various different large format digital printers including loading and unloading of large rolls of materials.
- When required scheduling of sales orders according to machine loadings and material availability.
- Liaising with purchasing to ensure materials are in stock, and stock levels are managed.
- Responsible for all goods in and collections from both couriers and customers.
- Ensuring cleaning routines for all the printers are adhered to on a daily basis.
- Operate the laminator machine for both rolls to roll materials and rigid board materials.
- Prepare, produce and finish roller banners.
- Cut any ridged or vinyl materials to shape.
- Prepare, produce and finish bespoke ridged material jobs as required.
- Responsible for packing and despatch of the production and stock jobs.
- Consignment of the production jobs with the courier.
- Uphold and enforce health and safety regulations.
- Ensuring the quality and finish of products meets standards set.
- Ensure all raw materials are kept neat and tidy.
- Ensure the production area is kept clean, tidy and free of debris at all times.
- Prepare and set up printing jobs, ensuring correct materials, ink, and specifications are used.
- Monitor and adjust print settings to ensure optimal print quality and adherence to client requirements.
- Conduct quality control checks to identify and resolve any issues or defects in printed materials.
- Follow production schedules and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and client demands.
