We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking Production Operative at Harlow Timber systems in Bardon. This is a fast-paced working environment working within a well-established team.
We are looking for someone with the following experience/qualifications:
- Timber knowledge and experience is not necessary, but this would be advantageous
- Good communicator
- Hard working
- Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
- Team player
- Basic Maths
- Ability to work under instruction at all times whilst adhering to strict Health & Safety regulations
The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 07:30am to 16:00pm and Fridays 7:30am to 15:50pm. Overtime as and when required.
You will report to the production manager.
As a Production Operative your primary responsibilities would be:
- Learning aspects of the sawmill and timber angles for profile manufacture
- Learning to set and manufacture timber roof trusses through several different processes
- Yard material and packaging of client specific material requirements
- Assist skilled personnel
- General housekeeping
- Picking and packing timber products
- Ensure products are properly stored
- Reading diagrams for manufacture
