Yard Supervisor

We are currently looking for a customer focused individual to join **Jewson in Chorley **as a **Yard Supervisor**. This is a varied role in a busy and thriving branch and is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to take the next step into a supervisory role.

**What will you be doing?**

Our branches are busy places, with lots going on inside and out and whilst the exact duties may vary here is a taster of the role.
- Lead and support the team to deliver success and suggest opportunities for improvement
- Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products
- Maintain stock levels in both the shop and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts
- Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work
- Help to prepare customer orders, load and unload customer and supplier vehicles using a Forklift

The role is predominantly based outside, which means you’ll face the cold of winter and the warmth (hopefully) of summer, but we’ll provide you with the things you need to do the job, whatever the weather

**What are we looking for?**

We are looking for a customer focused and proactive person who enjoys working as part of a team, you should be happy working outdoors with a focus on H&S. Experience in a logistics based role would be ideal along with a desire to learn and passion to put the customer 1st.
