An exciting job opportunity has arisen in the Torfaen Community Learning Disabilities Team. The successful post holder will provide comprehensive and confidential secretarial and administrative
support to the Community Learning Disability Team Manager and multidisciplinary team and will play an integral role within this team. The post holder will be exposed to new processes and systems being implemented in the team and should be able to work well within a team and autonomously.

To provide an efficient and effective secretarial and administrative support to the Team Leader and multi-disciplinary team including copy and audio typing, photocopying, filing, faxing, creation of spreadsheets and databases, etc.

To act as point of contact for the team including receipt of visitors to the team and telephone enquiries, ensuring messages are communicated to team members in a timely manner.To maintain the Team Leader’s electronic diary. To maintain the whereabouts system for the team to ensure team members are contactable at all times.
To take appropriate action in the absence of clinical staff eg covering clinical activity with alternative clinicians, cancelling visits, meetings etc.
To set up and maintain an effective filing system in accordance with the health record keeping standards and be responsible for maintaining storage and tracking systems of casenotes/medical records held within the team.
