Job Summary: Award Winning Artisan Bakery, making bakery items from scratch, mainly pastry items, this job is predominantly pie production including pork pies with hot water crust, sweets and buns, scones etc but also bread cakes to supply the butchers, deli and deli vans, we don't wholesale.
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Baker to join our team. As a Baker, you will assist in the production of baked goods and ensure the smooth operation of the bakery. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about baking and have a strong attention to detail.

**Duties**:

- Assist with the preparation and production of various baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes and pie fillings.
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
- Operate baking equipment, such as ovens, mixers, BDM and dough sheeters
- Monitor baking process to ensure products are baked to perfection
- Decorate and package finished products
- Clean and maintain work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Follow food safety guidelines and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation

**Requirements**:

- 5 days per week, 8 hour shifts, 20 min lunch break, we can be flexible with a start time from 6 am to 8 am approx. which we can discuss.
- Previous experience in food production and baking is preferred
- Basic mechanical knowledge to operate baking equipment effectively
- Good mathematical skills for measuring ingredients accurately
- Knowledge of food safety practices and HACCP guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects when necessary
