Estate Apprentice

Malvern, United Kingdom Three Counties Full time

We are looking for two apprentices to join our highly experienced Estates Team.

You will have no two days the same, getting involved in all aspects of showground life, including mowing, strimming and hedge trimming, garden and plant maintenance, repair of fencing and hard structures, and site maintenance.

You will assist with the build-up and breakdown of our shows throughout the year, including the RHS Malvern Spring Festival where you will witness the creation of the famous show gardens brought to life by the UK’s leading garden designers.

We’re looking for positive team players who will work closely with the six supportive colleagues in our Estates Team, reporting to the Head Gardener.

The work involves being outdoors throughout the year and through all types of weather to maintain the showground to the highest standards.

With over 90 acres of showground to manage in our 350-acre estate, 3 permanent feature gardens and over 70 events throughout the year, life at the showground is fast-paced and fun.

Our training partner, Grey Seal Academy, will deliver most of the formal aspects of your training via online group training sessions, online workshops, individual coaching sessions on-line and face-to-face training days here at the Showground.

You will have access to a desk and computer to take part in a full day’s training and study for one day per week.
