Maintenance Engineer

Chippenham

Ongoing Long-term Contract Basis, Monday to Friday daytime hours

The role will be suited to experienced engineers from manufacturing backgrounds with strong hands-on electromechanical experience with responsibility of the maintenance of all manufacturing plant and equipment. You will also have experience in contributingto the improvement of the equipment reliability.

The key function of the role will be in support of manufacturing, performing planned and predictive maintenance and providing breakdown resolutions in a live production environment. You will assess the need of spare parts and ensuring that current resourcesare used to optimum effect. You will also be responsible for maintain accurate data and timely documentation and records as well as undertaking any other tasks or duties when required including supporting other teams.

The role:

- Performing planned and predictive maintenance
- Provide breakdown resolutions in a live production environment
- Assessing need of spare parts
- Ensure that resources are used to optimum effect
- Complete and maintain accurate, timely documentation and records
- Support other teams and functions as required by the business
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and practices

The person:

- Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
- City & Guilds or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience in a relevant role in a similar environment
- PC literate
- Knowledge of electronics and multi skilled in electrical practices
