**Retort Operator**

** £27508 plus overtime ***

**Working hours of a Retort Operator**:
12hrs days & 12 hrs nights - rotated shift pattern. Averaging 44 hours per week

**Duties of a Retort Operator**:

- Ensure the final food product is handled in a safely manner.
- Ensure the safety of fellow colleagues and our products.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to the product, equipment, process, and quality checks.
- Provide assistance with machine changeovers ready for production.
- Carry out specified regular cleaning operations.
- Mind the machines and machine output.
- Work alongside the quality team to ensure the quality and safety of our product.
- Collate production information and entering information in relevant systems (electronic or manual)
- Work in a controlled and safe manner at all times.

**Skills needed to be a successful Retort Operator**:

- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Willing to change tasks or departments as production requires
- Self-motivated and able to work with mínimal supervision, and follow instructions
- Reliable, hard-working and can work within a team in a very busy, fast-paced environment
- Good attendance, flexibility to hours and punctual
- Willingness to learn and progress in your role
