Higham is needing a fourth Admin office colleague within our independent adult residential college. Higham operates 7 days a week and the successful applicant will need to be capable, amenable and trustworthy, with experience of office and organisational tasks. We offer a people-facing service requiring responsiveness, accuracy and intelligence and we like to think we embody the spirit of a very special and unique place. Hours are arranged in co-operation with your team. We want a talented, pleasant human being able to take on professional responsibilities with the aptitude to join a busy college office in actively supporting the Principal, other Staff, Tutors, Students and Trustees to help us uphold the true essence of lifelong learning. Higham has become used to a low turnover of staff.

**This Job**

This post has specific responsibility for some of the operational integrity of the college’s day-to-day work:
**Hospitality**: Managing rotas and supporting our two small Housekeeping and Bar teams.

The four members of the Office Admin team work on a 7-day rolling rota basis. All share the following responsibilities:

- **Reception**: _First point of contact: enquiries, bookings, arrivals, departures, everything in-between._
- **Duty Manager**: _Cover the office at least two weekend days each month._
- **Administration**: _Backoffice support for courses (tutor and student communications, programmes etc.)._
- **Information**: _Catering and housekeeping colleagues need accurate information for diets and requirements._
- **Service**: _We can help our guests feel at home by being on hand to assist them._
- **Preparation**: _Rooms need to have the right layout and equipment for what our visiting Tutors have planned._

Occasional other related duties as required.
