**The Salary**:£26,000 to £29,000 DOE (Paid monthly)

**The Role**:
Full-time, Monday - Friday 08.00-16.30 and 1 in 3 weekends
- Assist in maintaining the Company’s Health & Safety management system.
- Conducting regular H&S site and departmental inspections /audits, ensuring and coordinating corrective actions are addressed.
- Managing Company databases and recording incident reports and statistics.
- Coordinate incident investigations as required.
- Keeping up to date with, and ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation and good industry practice as part of your continuous professional development.
- Attending Company Health and Safety meetings & compiling minutes where required.
- To provide practicable and professional H&S advice to staff at all levels.
- Manage and coordinate fork lift truck services, repairs/maintenance when required
- Conduct H&S inductions, staff training, first aid and fire awareness, testing fire alarms and maintaining fire equipment.
- Assist with producing and updating training material and records.
- Assist and conduct effluent water treatment testing (Avg. 1 in 3 weekends plus holiday cover)
- To coordinate, support and undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required by the Health and Safety Department.

**The Person**:
**Preferred**:

- Level 3 H&S certificate or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety with a recognised awarding body/organisation i.e., NCRQ, NEBOSH, IOSH.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Independent planning and time management skills.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- You must be able to prioritise and multi-task in the face of many responsibilities/duties
- High degree of accuracy/attention to detail
- Must possess a proactive, positive attitude towards improving health & safety standards and developing a positive health and safety culture.

**Desirable**
- Experience of health & safety in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Trained/experienced First Aider
- Train the trainer and/or Instructor certifications, such as ITSSAR.
- Valid fork lift truck licence

**The Benefits**:
