**Job Description**:
Here at Skipton Building Society we have an opportunity to join us as an Architectural Technologist or similarly qualified building professional. This is an rare and exciting opportunity to join a blue chip organisation with an enviable property portfolio. You’ll have the opportunity to help shape the design of our branches, work as part of a thriving team and use your wide experience to lead and support the delivery of work. This is a great opportunity for someone with client side experience or looking to work client side to really add value to the business.

Providing support to our Premises team - this is an initial 12month contract - which will be continually reviewed alongside the department workload.

The purpose of this role is to coordinate and manage the ongoing schedule of our workspace environments across our Head Office and Branch networks. You’ll do this by liaising with external consultants where necessary, working with stakeholders across the business and providing advice on property matters.

You will regularly review departmental workloads and agree priorities with various stakeholders from across the Society to meet business needs in agreed timescales.

You will have oversight and manage the budgets for Premises, ensuring value for money and capture cost savings where possible. You’ll have audit actions that will need reviewing and meeting in a timely manner with any findings and learnings cascaded to the appropriate colleagues. In addition, you’ll be expected to regularly review legislative changes and ensure all changes and processes meet any and all legal requirements.

A full driving licence is required, and a pool car will be provided where needed for the role.

We are looking for someone with the ability to influence, engage and work in partnership with stakeholders at all levels so first-class people skills and strong communication is essential within the role.

We’re looking for a passionate person willing to take on ownership of all aspects of the role - which include concept design, managing small works with our trusted contractors as well as day to day duties ensuring our branches operate smoothly and efficiently. The tasks you’ll complete within the role will need you to have excellent negotiating skills in order to successfully deliver within plan and budget.

The right person for the role will have a breadth of knowledge in CAD, Building Regulations and Planning. Experience in job running and contract administration will also be beneficial. In addition, you will be a member of CIAT (Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists) or equal qualification with strong experience in a similar role in commercial property/facility management.
