**Role Purpose**

**How this role fits into the business**

Our QA Team of Testers ensure our products and services are rigorously tested to meet our high standards of delivery and those of our Clients.

**What we need from you**
- To gain a solid understanding of the products and solutions being delivered
- Define, execute and report on test cases and identified defects
- To undertake both front end and back-end testing
- Complete timesheets in line with company process

**Your everyday checklist**
- Keeping key people up-to-date with test case load, the results and key milestones
- To work closely with developers and QA team
- Create, update and manage assigned JIRA tickets
- Participate in sprint estimations, demos and retrospectives
- Work within defined development sprints ensuring completed work is tested
- To provide work updates and take an active part in daily team stand ups
- Maintain solution documentation to required standards
- Adhere to coding standards and processes

**Have you got what it takes?**
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- 1+ years experience in a QA engineer role
- Clear and effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- A methodical and logical/analytical approach to tasks, as well as excellent attention to detail
- The ability to multitask and prioritise own workload to work to commercial deadlines
- Ability to self-manage own learning and training
- Some knowledge of GUI design
- An understanding of basic browser testing
- Some experience of software testing and testing processes
- To undertake Microsoft exams contributing to Adactus maintaining Microsoft certification

**We would love you to have knowledge in**:

- Previous commercial or other sector software testing experience
- Experience of documenting test case processes, expected and actual results
- Experience of managing work tasks within a work ticket management system
- Some SQL experience Basic SQL knowledge
- Understanding of the software lifecycle and associated processes

**This is a remote position**

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
