**The role of a Covid Mobile Testing Assistant and how to **apply**

As an Covid Testing Assistant on one of our Mobile Testing Units (MTU), you’ll play an important role in the day-to-day running of the unit, helping to put the public at their ease when they arrive for their PCR test.

Working as part of our close-knit operational team, you’ll report to a base Regional Testing Site each day. Here, you’ll meet your colleagues and collect the MTU van, before heading out to your work location, which you’ll have been told about a couple of days in advance. You may be expected to drive a Serco vehicle as part of this role.

Once you reach your location, you’ll get involved in a variety of tasks. From traffic and queue management to organising stock and supplies, administration and security to cleaning, customer registration and the collection of self-administered tests. In short, you’ll help keep the MTU safe, secure, and in good running order.

**The skills you’ll need**

We don’t look for any particular qualifications for this role. It’s more important to be friendly, safety conscious, with the ability to understand our operational processes and follow them at all times and have a flexible approach to work. Occasionally our MTU sites attract media attention, so you’ll need to be confident dealing with a press presence. And a degree of flexibility is required as you might only be told your work location the night before.
**Plus, for drivers**

To work on Mobile Testing Units, you may need to meet additional key criteria. You’ll need a full UK driving license with no more than 6pts and a minimum of 2 years driving experience.

- A rate of pay of £10ph (£10.85ph London) (for instance: 4 days / 40 hours = £400 weekly pay)
- Working hours between 07:30am and 6:30pm Monday - Sunday with flexible working options
