**Job Title**: TP Claims Handler - High-Risk Credit Hire
**Location**: UK-Kent-Whitstable, Haywards Heath, Manchester, Tunbridge Wells or Chelmsford
£24,000 to £30,000 DOA
Hybrid - 1 day per week in the office, 4 days from home
**Overview**:
**We are recruiting for Motor Third Party Claims Handler to join our in-house Credit Hire Team**
You will be responsible for handling a portfolio of motor claims from initial report through to conclusion. The goal is to swiftly determine liability and pro-actively handle the credit hire element of the claim to ensure the claim is settled effectively. HireMonitoring activities and investigation into the Need for Hire are key aspects of the early stages of the claim. Your investigation findings are captured and reported centrally.
Performance is measured against several Key Performance Indictors with regular reviews. There is an opportunity to be rewarded with an annual bonus. We offer a blend of home and office working with a pattern of 1 day in the office per week (once probation passed)

**Responsibilities**:

- Managing claims caseload in accordance with the Markerstudy claims philosophy, claims handling procedures and service levels.
- Identifying trends and behaviours of Opponents to help create Strategies,
- Work to agreed KPI and Targets, a key one being Hire Duration periods and overall claim costs,
- Support Protocol Agreements and work closely with our Protocol partners,
- Adhering to agreed personal authority limits, referring to line manager for authorisation where activity exceeds such limits.
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Controlling claim cost by achieving most economical settlement, through pro active use of the telephone making outbound calls, good use of liability and quantum arguments and effective negotiation.
- Maintaining good file discipline and accurate reserves, together with an effective diary system which ensures that cases are reviewed on a regular basis.
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with colleagues and business partners.
- Pro-actively managing personal training and development requirements.
- Undertaking general claims tasks, as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Working knowledge of Motor claims handling to include Indemnity, Liability, Third Party risks and other associated heads of claim
- Proven history of managing Third Party motor Personal Injury & Credit Hire claims,
- Excellent Telephony skills, with pro-active use of the telephone
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage and prioritise own workloads
- Willingness to develop self and new skills
- Ability to work with flexibility in a proactive claims environment
- Good market knowledge and ommercial awareness
