The opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Receptionist within the Specialty Medicine Department in a very dynamic team.

This Role will require excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Support the clinical administration team with general administrative duties on a day to day basis and undertake clerical work as delegated by the Medical Secretaries.
- Ensure all patient notes and reports are collected/returned/sent promptly to the filing section.
- Prepare patient files, as required, and carry out necessary filing and photocopying.
- Ensure that all notes entering/leaving the office are tracked in accordance with Trust policy to support other departments/personnel locating files.
- Assist in meeting administrative targets for the Clinical Administrative Team and the Trust as a whole.
- Ensure maximum data accuracy of patient data at all times.
- Adhere to security and data protection policies of the Trust in respect of access and use of patient data, equipment security etc.

- Handle routine correspondence/post; sort, deal with and distribute appropriately.
- Monitor all necessary stationery for the immediate Clinical Administration Team, notifying the appropriate member of staff when an order needs to be placed.
- Use computer, office equipment and telephones to undertake the duties of the post, including use of Medway or successor for identification of patients, in-patient, out-patients and waiting list data, tracking in and out of letters and hospital case notes.
