**What you’ll be doing**

This is a lead Merchandising role that will see you translate category strategy, deliver agreed stock parameters to all Sainsbury’s channels and oversee strategy execution. You’ll be fully accountable for planning and executing selection and trading strategy for a diverse and broad product department or range. Throughout, you’ll deliver a customer-focused proposition to agreed KPIs, and put the customer first in everything else you do.

The merchandising team will look to you for inspiration too, as you act as their coach and leader, and work closely with your colleagues in Buying.

**Who you are**

Your proven record in merchandising that will preferably include digital channel experience and an awareness of project management. You’ll have been involved in projects outside BAU that have driven business change, and you’ll be more than comfortable building cross-functional networks and influencing at all levels. You’ll also have a good technical understanding of merchandising systems and replenishment systems, and you’ll know how to deliver both as an individual and as part of a team.
