Veterinary Receptionist

**About Us**

We are a successful, small animal, veterinary practice based in Lytham St. Annes. We have a large team of friendly staff and we are now looking to add to that amazing team

**The Role**

Part time permanent contract working Thursday 08.30-14.00 & Saturday 08.30-12.30 (9.5 hours)

Flexible with hours depending on business needs

Willingness to work overtime to cover holidays/absence

You will be working alongside our experienced team of 8 receptionists, to be the first point of contact with our clients, ensuring that their experience with us is first class from beginning to end. You will be confident, outgoing and have previous reception/customer service experience ideally in a veterinary background. A passion for animals is also a must

**Responsibilities**

Meet and greet clients and visitors to the practice

Make appointments and arrange schedule for vets and nurses

Answer telephone calls promptly and deal with all enquiries

Answer queries from clients and callers and pass them to the relevant member of staff.

Take orders for repeat prescriptions and food

Maintain front of house cleanliness and tidiness

Daily and weekly cashing up and balancing tills daily

Stock control/orders for front of house/food/ off the shelf items

Ability to multitask under pressure

Confident in handling sensitive situations

Recovering monies and reconciling accounts

Salary up to £10.14 per hour
