**Mechanical Assembler**

A vacancy has arisen for a Mechanical Assembler in the Crashworthy Seats department at the Denham site.**The package for the Mechanical Assembler role**:
Hours: 8 am - 5pm Monday to Thursday
- 8 am - 12pm on Fridays**Salary**: £27,000 to £29,700/yr
- Permanent,full time**Areas of Responsibility for the Mechanical Assembler role**:

- Prepare seats for test and qualification to a defined standard.
- Repair or modify Customer seats to a flightworthy status using defined parts and build standard.
- Produce seat backrest and sitting platform assemblies. Fit hardware and furniture using a range of manual riveting techniques, aerospace fasteners, adhesives and Velcro.
- Conduct bench fitting and build of detailed assemblies from general assembly to customer deliverable level. This may include various securing methods and the installation of a variety of threaded inserts and locking pins, jig drilling, taper reaming, thread locking, crimping and riveting using manual techniques.

**Education & Qualifications for the Mechanical Assembler role**:

- Hold a good standard of education and be literate and numerate
- An Engineering Apprenticeship would be beneficial.

**Knowledge & Experience for the Mechanical Assembler role**:

- Broad experience of reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Basic background in H&S policies and procedures.
- Experience in one or more of the following; riveting processes, gluing/bonding processes, assembling threaded components to defined torque values
- Experience within an aerospace environment would be beneficial.Consultant details:
