***Manufacturing Engineer**required to join a well-established automotive manufacturer, based in Sheffield on a permanent basis offering a competitive salary.

Our client is an automotive supercar and hypercar brand, with a global reputation for producing high-performance vehicles. Working with some of the most iconic designs using modern engineering this company is one of a kind and their attention to detail issecond to none.

The **Manufacturing Engineer**will be responsibility for the continuous improvement of composite manufacturing processes including quality, cost, cycle time and availability.

**The Manufacturing Engineer role:
Lead the improvement of manufacturing processes to reduce cycle time, scrap and product repairs whilst increasing equipment availability.
Record, process, analyse and interpret complex process data to improve process knowledge and drive technical development.
Lead practical problem-solving activities (PPS) to address quality issues within an appropriate time frame.
To support the adoption of new parts or processes into the manufacturing line.
Maintain production process flows, PFMEAs and control plans.
Support in updating production documents including standard operating procedures, work instructions and product standards.
Lead engineering changes for parts already introduced into production.
To be the Engineering team’s first point of contact for the Production and Maintenance teams.
Present the status of Manufacturing Engineering projects and KPI’s to key stakeholders.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Experience of the Manufacturing Engineer:
Previous proven industrial manufacturing experience, ideally within an automotive or composites manufacturing environment.
- A base knowledge of current composites manufacturing processes
Use of problem-solving methodology like 8D, PPS or equivalent.
- Experience of leading manufacturing process improvement projects following a methodical approach (e.g. DMAIC or equivalent).
Ability to record, analyse and present large data sets.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and CAD models.
Experience of creating PFMEA and control plan documentation
Effective presenting skills, making complex issues clear and transparent

**A Manufacturing Engineer with experience of the following would be advantageous but is not essential:
Composite materials manufacturing processes
Resin transfer moulding or resin infusion processes
CNC machining
Robotics
PLC programming
Experience with using a structured change management system
Excellent IT skills
