We are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Assistant to start as soon as possible.

If you don't have Lab experience

Details about the role:

- Temporary to Permanent Role
- Hours: 8:00-16:00
- Salary: £12.31 plus per hour

You will work within the production laboratory and asceptic dispensing room to produce SensititreTM antimicrobic susceptibility plates. You will ensure H&S and quality standards are met at all times. You will work at all times to ensure compliance with GLP(Good Laboratory Practice) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice); and ensure our SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) are followed.

Full training will be provided

**Responsibilities**:

- Preparation of antimicrobic solutions in accordance with relevant SOPs and in line with production paperwork - weighing, dissolution and dilution
- Set-up and monitoring of production dispensing pumps, to enable on time and quality production output - pouring, priming and weight checks
- Manufacture of various necessary ancillary solutions - ID media, buffers and excipients
- Compliance checks of laboratory equipment and instrumentation - pipettes, balances and extractors
- Maintain and monitor raw material stock levels - consumables, intermediates and equipment
- Support the laboratory by washing and autoclaving equipment - pumps, glassware and other items
- Utilise computer software to process information - SAP ERP, Microsoft Office and bespoke programs
- Further duties and responsibilities as required by the business and within the ability of the post holder.

**Minimum Requirements/Qualifications**:

- Capable of following standard operating procedures and H&S guidelines
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Able to organise and prioritise tasks under own initiative
- Attention to detail when following procedures and keeping manual records
- Ability to perform complex manual tasks with dexterity
- Computer literacy would be beneficial
- Laboratory experience is an advantage
