In a nutshell, you’ll take on a vast array of administrative roles that will ensure the PMO and some projects operate efficiently. Handling enquiries, you’ll either resolve them yourself or pass the enquiry on to the relevant person. Perhaps someone needs some data, information or a report. If they do, you’ll know where to locate it and circulate it as needed. You’ll even organise and manage PMO activities and supplies. Whatever is asked of you, you’ll give it your all. And whilst you’ll follow the various procedures and processes in place, if you see something that can be improved upon, we’ll expect you to share your thoughts. Working across the Project Management Office, provide proactive administration for PMO and Project Managers, to enable NPL to be exemplar in Project Management, as seen by our customers, partners, stakeholders and staff.
The job aims to provide proactive support to the PMO function and Project Managers on specific projects. The Administrator will work the Office Manager on supporting activities for the PMO and support project activities for specific projects, working with some Project Managers and other colleagues in the PMO office. The Administrator would need to coordinate and support meetings or project events, ensuring these are scheduled properly and records are taken.
You will have:
- Knowledge of working with Microsoft Outlook, Word and excel
- Good time management for own tasks
- Knowledge of project management basics (desirable)
- Good communicator
- A willingness to continually improve
