The South Recovery Service is undergoing an exciting transformation with additional resource allocation to provide ongoing intensive support to the population of the Sheffield, this includes working towards a joint approach with Primary Care and the Voluntary Sector, reviewing the CMHT Service Criteria and working in discreet small teams into local communities.

The post holder will work with people under the care of the South Recovery Service. They will provide support, give time in order to promote positive mental health recovery from ill health and encourage the development of independence. They will be part of a multidisciplinary team from which they will receive support and supervision, and will work with a group of clients, helping to develop & implement programmes of care co-ordinated by named workers in the team.

The registered Nursing Associate will work as part of a Secondary Mental Health Team supporting the delivery of high quality, person centred, compassionate care to patients.
- Support the delivery of mental health and physical wellbeing for people identified as having severe mental illness, and support health and wellbeing initiatives as required
- Be part of the multi-disciplinary team delivering planned care to a group of patients working within the standards of proficiency outlined by the Nursing and Midwifery Council and in accordance with Trust policies and protocols.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a team and provide support/ guidance to less experienced staff/ learners within the clinical environment as needed.
