BDUK is a subsidiary of the Boeing Company and currently employs over 1,700 people in the UK. BDUK is responsible for delivering several exciting contracts to our UK Defence customers including E-7 AEW&C, P-8A Maritime Patrol Aircraft, C4ISTAR Services, Through Life Support for the Chinook and Apache Fleets, Logistic Information Services and Training Services.

This position is for an Aircraft Maintenance Planning Specialist to support Boeing Defence UK’s Maintenance and Modification capabilities across multiple sites and aircraft types in the UK, and continued growth in these areas.

To support organizational growth a new ‘Aircraft Maintenance Planning Specialist’ role has been created. Working with the Operations Senior Business Manager, the Aircraft Maintenance Planning Specialist will play a key role during proposal and estimation, mobilization and provide key support to the teams delivering aircraft maintenance services in execution by providing new efficient fleet plans which will underpin the aircraft support enterprise.

The job will be varied and requires regular interaction with other internal BDUK Functions as well as direct engagement with the Customer. **Examples of key tasks include**:

- Working with the BDUK Operations, Engineering and Programme teams to develop innovative aircraft Maintenance Repair Organization (MRO) fleet plans and support the development of BDUK engineering and operations functions proposals for future platform capability.
- Working with the CAMO, operations and engineering teams for each aircraft platform to develop fleet plans at each site and lead the lead the development of Vertical Lift and Fixed Wing new capability and future enhancements for aircraft such as the Chinook, Apache, Poseidon and Wedgetail.

**Preferred Qualifications and experience**:

- A background in aircraft maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO)
- Experience in scheduling, MRO processes, techniques and best practice
- Knowledge of SAP or GOLD MRO ERP system
- Ability to work independently sometimes under time constraints
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with senior military and company officials
- Knowledge of maintenance practices and procedures
- Proficiency to work in an multi-disciplinary matrix environment
- Experience or ability to produce a fleet plan from inception to completion
- Project Management qualification or experience with PM tools
