Trainee Healthcare Support Worker

An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the multidisciplinary team within the Surgical Unit at Stracathro. The successful applicant may be based on one site but there is an expectation for the post holder to be deployed as required.

You will play an important part in the patient’s journey, working within the Surgical Unit and assisting Registered Nurses (RNs) & the Clinical team in the care and treatment of patients undergoing elective surgical procedures and minor surgical procedures within the Minor Procedure Unit.

Previous health or social care experience is desirable for this post. Banding will be in line with level of experience with the opportunity to undertake additional skills and work up to Band 3. In addition good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team are highly desired qualities for this post.

**You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.**
