**Job description**:
St Andrews Links is a dynamic and innovative organisation, home to seven golf courses including the world-famous Old Course, a state-of-the-art Golf Academy, three Clubhouses and five retail shops.

We are looking for Greenkeepers to work in the department on a permanent basis to help prepare the courses for play each day.

In 2024 we will host the Scottish Men’s Amateur in July, AIG Women’s Open in August and the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship on the DP World Tour in early October along with the many regular tournaments held across our courses each summer.

The job would involve working five days from seven while you would also be expected to work additional hours every third weekend on average.

Ideally suited to any qualified greenkeeper looking to expand their knowledge and learn about different grasses, soils and tournament preparations.

This is also a great opportunity for any greenkeeper returning to the UK after experiencing southern hemisphere life and looking to get back into the industry in the UK.

The Greenkeeping Department is split into 3 different teams: i) The Old Course; the New and Jubilee; ii) the Eden, Strathtyrum & Balgove and Golf Academy grounds; iii) the Castle Course, which is our newest course having opened in 2008. Irrespective of what team you are allocated to, there may be an opportunity to work on the Old Course during tournaments and on some Sundays as it is closed for golf on a Sunday and is an ideal opportunity to carry out maintenance.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude, they should aspire to high standards and good team morale;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- A strong work ethic and ability to demonstrate they can work as part of a team and as an individual;
- Good time management and communication skills;
- A minimum of three years’ experience of working on a golf course or sports pitch;
- Qualified to a minimum of SVQ/NVQ 2 in Sports Turf Maintenance or equivalent
- A full Driving License is desirable
