**About Us**

Apple Construction Training Limited (ACTL) is a specialist Construction Training Company based in the Midlands, at Fenny Compton near Southam in Warwickshire. We provide a range of construction and safety courses including the CSCS card, CPCS Red and Blue cards in a wide selection of plant courses, NPORS certificates, construction related NVQ qualifications, EUSR (Energy & utility skills register), NWSR, Site Safety Plus courses and many construction-related Health and Safety Courses.

**Job requirements**

**Transaction Management**: Oversee and accurately input daily financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and expenses, into accounting software to maintain up-to-date and error-free ledgers.

**Financial Reconciliation**: Perform regular bank reconciliations and balance sheets, ensuring that all financial data aligns accurately with bank statements and internal records.

**Compliance and Reporting**: Prepare and submit VAT returns, payroll reports, and other necessary financial documents, while ensuring all actions are in strict compliance with accounting laws and regulations.

**Client and Supplier Liaison**: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding bookkeeping enquiries, providing clear, timely, and professional responses to ensure long-term client satisfaction and trust.

**Key responsibilities**
- Process supplier invoices, daily bank receipts and payments
- Process sales invoices including updates to Customer portals
- Process Credit Card payments from Stripe and Teya
- Manage the monthly Payroll via Xero, process HMRC monthly returns and Company pension updates
- Process monthly journals
- Carry out Bank reconciliations daily.
- Effective Credit Control
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Prepare monthly Sales commission statements and summary Customer reports
- Update Fixed Asset Registers
- Month end responsibilities such as accruals and prepayments, Management Accounts from Xero
- Prepare schedules for Year end Accounts to send to Auditors
- Annual Insurance renewals for Company Insurance, Fleet, Customer/ Supplier updates
- Assist the Managing Director with ad hoc tasks

**Skills and Experience**
- Xero Accounts - 2 years
- Microsoft Excel
- Bookkeeping 3 years
- AAT qualified (desirable)
- Team player with excellent customer service skills and attention to detail and accuracy.

**Remuneration and benefits**

**Salary**: £25,000 per annum

Holiday: 21 days plus Bank Holidays (increasing as per employee Handbook)

Sick Pay: SSP

Pension: Contributory Pension Scheme

Pay: £25,000.00 per year
