Upholstery Assistant

Mike Ayres Design is a softplay and sensory manufacturer supplying equipment to schools, hospitals and care institutions for people with special and additional needs. Due to an increase in orders, we are looking to recruit someone to work within our small and friendly upholstery department.

This position will ideally suit:

- a productive person with the ability to work to a good standard
- someone able to work with consistency
- an individual willing and able to work and communicate as part of a small team.

The role involves:

- Working within our upholstery department assisting in the production of wall & floor cushions and softplay structures
- filling vinyl cushions covers with pre-cut foam
- wrapping and packing cushions and other softplay structures ready for despatch.

There is the opportunity for the right individual to progress and learn other aspects of the upholstery department.

This is a mildly physical role as some of the cushions can be over 1metre square.

**Salary**: £10.50-£11.50 per hour
