Female Support Worker

We are looking for a support worker to initially cover maternity leave assisting a young lady with Cerebral Palsy who is wheelchair dependant in the Arnold, Bestwood Park area of Nottingham. In return, we offer a highly competitive hourly rate and ongoing training.

The required support worker will be responsible for providing quality support to improve the life of the service user and her family. You will need to have a high level of initiative, be able to work as part of a team and follow a structured routine. You will be responsible for providing a high level of support and personal care. Specific training will be provided.

It is desirable that the successful support worker has the following skills and experience:

- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
- Experience of working with adults with complex health needs
- Sound understanding of good care principles
- Excellent communication skills
- Full driving licence

You will be required to work shifts as follows to cover maternity leave, approximately 39 hours per week:

- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday - 3.30pm-10.00pm
- Thursday - 9.00am-3.30pm
- Saturday or Sunday - 9.00am-10.00pm

Occasional sleep in

Additional hours may be required to cover annual leave and sickness. A rota will be agreed one month in advance

Rate of Pay: £13.50 waking hours and £65.00 sleep in

Closing date: 31st May 2024

Pay: £13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 39 per week
