The Nursery Assistant will work closely with the nursery staff to provide high-quality care and support to children in a safe and nurturing environment.

**Job Specification**
- Assist in the daily care and supervision of children, always ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist with maintaining a clean and hygienic nursery environment, including cleaning toys, equipment, and play areas.
- Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their child's progress and responding to any queries or concerns.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive growth through play and interaction.
- Help with mealtimes, including preparing snacks and supervising children during mealtimes, promoting healthy eating habits.
- Support children with personal care tasks, such as changing nappies, toileting, and dressing, respecting their dignity and privacy.
- Uphold the nursery's policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety guidelines, to ensure the welfare of children and staff.
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery.
- NVQ Level 2 in Early Years or equivalent (e.g., CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Childcare and Education)
- Flexibility: Availability to take on locum assignments throughout the year, with the flexibility to accept occasional shifts or extended blocks of work.
- Mobility: Ability to travel to different practices in and around the UK
- Skillset: Clinical skills, good communication abilities, teamwork, and the ability to handle potentially stressful situations.
