**The Role**

Do you want to play an active part in helping Natural Resources Wales to sustainably manage natural resources and support the well-being of people across Wales, so that Nature and People can thrive together? Are you passionate about the importance of good evaluation in understanding the effectiveness of policy and operational delivery interventions? If so, this is the role for you in supporting collective action towards: nature’s recovery, resilience to climate change and minimising pollution in Wales.

We’re looking for an experienced Evaluation Specialist to provide technical knowledge and expertise to both policy and operational colleagues, so that evidence and evaluation processes are embedded in all NRW activities; leading to open and transparent demonstration of our work. Your expertise will provide clarity to project objectives and policy options and operational interventions, through monitoring evaluation and learning, and evidence outcomes and realise impact through clearly defined performance metrics.

This is a pivotal role that will help NRW demonstrate its statutory obligation to sustainably managing Wales’s natural resources and will support the health and well-being of the people of Wales.

**Who you are - qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills required**

Specialist knowledge and expertise in evaluation methods, including qualitative, quantitative, and mixed method approaches.

Substantial experience of working as a specialist in a similar public body and recognised professional standing.

Good communication skills and be able to develop and maintain good relationships and networks.

Requires a relevant degree.

Evaluation post-graduate qualification desirable.
